Default The Oldest Newb ???

I've been around the motorcycle world most of my life. Before I was big and/or old enough to ride a real one, I went through those years of pretend (using trading cards for sound effects in the spokes of my bicycle).
When I was 14, I used my paper route money to buy my first motorcycle ( a 200cc Villers 2stroke)
When I turned 16, I bought my first "Real" motorcycle --- a 650cc Triumph.
In high school, I worked at my the local motorcycle shop as a gofer and that was the time when Honda was shipping their first motorcycles to their dealers.
We unpacked and assembled crates and crates of those comical little stamped steel toys that they were calling motorcycles.
This was at the time when British and European bikes ruled the market --- and we just laughed at these "things" as we put them together.
Well, fast forward ---- (2 kids and 4 grand-kids later) and we aren't laughing at Honda now.
It took me 69 years, but I just bought my first CBR 600 !!!
What a RUSH !!!!
THANKS HONDA

Welcome to the forum.

Think of all the miles you've missed. Time to make them up!

Which 600 did you get?
Where in the world are you?

Thanks 74demon
It isn't so much the miles I've missed riding bikes, they just haven't been with a CBR between my legs.
That's changed now !!

Welcome back to the world of two wheels Papa - and especially welcome to the CBR Forum.

Take it easy on the CBR600 - just a tad different from the 200cc James

Cheers, SB

Welcome to the site, sir. Great intro.

I hope I'm as cool as you when I'm 69, but I'll probably just sit on my front porch all the time and yell at motorcycles as they drive by my house.
