Northerner signing in
Greetings to you, kind CBRFists. I am new here (although I've lurked for a while before registering), and I reside in the northern parts of Norway - specifically Bodø, a small town located a couple of hours drive north of the arctic circle.
Bought a '95 F3 with 54139km (=33640 miles) on the clock in early september this year - four days after passing the final test of the "you're allowed to ride a motorcycle" program (yes, my english is brilliant - I apologize in advance), and drove her more or less every day until around mid-october when the autumn gave in and became winter.
Pictures, you say. Aye, I say. As you will notice, I got me a "pre-scratched" bike. This way I don't have to worry so much if I forget to put my foot down at the lights.
In time (this winter, perchance?) I will take a ratchet and a socket to her. A F4i gauge swap is high on the list, as well as replacement fairing parts - if some should emerge at a reasonable price.
In short - Hello. Please treat me nice-ish. ^^
Regards,
Steffen

Thank you. ^.^
Winter it is. It was -5C (23F) here earlier today, and monday had me scaring some 3-4 inches of snow from the cage (a '98 Saab 9-5). So, yeah. Warm wooly clothes galore from now on. Counting the days until May...

Welcome to CBRF if you won't be having any riding days during your winter I hope you winterized your bike if not just a friendly reminder mine sat for three years before becoming mine and i have quite the rusty tank from it. So any winter sports you get to enjoy before your riding season is back?

Thank you.
Nate: Yeah, well... I'm kinda **** (****?) when it comes to grammar and language in Norwegian, and I try my very best not to have my english trail behind. One are one's own worst critic, no? As long as I don't come out all Petter Solberg-y, I'm good. ^^,
Lj: As for winterizing the old girl, I went with the somewhat lazy and cost-ineffective solution of putting her away with the local dealer (the aptly titeled "Arctic Boat&MC"). They will be going through all the motions, as well as performing a bit of service and tuning up.I'd rather keep her close, of course - but in lieu of a garage/car port/tent, this was the only real solution short of leaving her out in the open.
Winter sports wise I'm hoping to get some time on the snowboard. Other than that it'll be calm sailing. I'm kind of a panda person like that. Easter will be a new one for me though - for the first year since 2006 I won't be attending The Gathering as a crew member (nor a participant), so I'm a bit in the blue as for what I'm going to do then.
