Default NoooooooB to this forum!!! Hello!

First of hello!!! Seems that this is gonna be a heck of a very knowledgable forum if I run into some hiccups wit my 99 cbr f4 which I totally renewed externally and stretched dropped etc etc... I
In houston and its hella hawwwwwt here but still chose to ride my bike then my truck... Well first off I do have a slight quick question? My speedometer completely works only after disconnecting the negative from the battery. Once I do so it work at its norm and shows mileage etc etc. once I turn it off, all gauges wil no longer work!!! :/ well not sure what it can be??? The gauges light up and all but does not work unless I unplug the battery terminal for 6 seconds or so prior to riding... Any help would be much obliged!!!
