noob here from Jersey
hello all. my name is Jay from North Jersey, I currently have a 01 929rr. absolutly best bike ive ever had.im currently about to attempt to rebuild my engine. I have at least one bent valve that i know of till i tear apart the engine. ive never dont this before so if anyone has any input please feel free to hmu. some questions i have is where do i get the valves from? do i replace all of them? should i do the pistion rings as well?

Hey mate, I'm also from North Jersey. Welcome to the forums and whatnot.
Just FYI, you'd have a lot better chances of getting your questions answered if you put them in the General Tech or the 929 technical sections of the forum, instead of the intro section.
And I don't know that much about engine work, but from what I've heard usually when you bend a valve it also tears up the valve guide, and at that point you're usually better off just replacing the head, cost wise. Of course, that's with cars, not bikes, so it may be different.
There are prolly a lot of people better suited to help you out than me though, but chances are they won't see it unless you put this in one of the forum sections I mentioned before though.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Chef,
Rebuilding an engine is a very methodical - and pleasurable - past time.
Take photographs, measure replaceable parts and have the manual VERY handy. Replace what is needed, but if the engine is apart I'd be tempted to replace bearings and possible rings.
