Noob to the "Flying Refrigerator"

Hello to this great forum.....I am from Bonney Lake Washington USA.I just trailer-ed home a 1991 CBR1000fm Flying Refrigerator a week ago.
This is my first CBR and I wished I had bought one new back in 1990 when I bought a new VFR750.The CBR would have served my riding style much better but I opted for the highly awarded VFR50.Very nice scooter but 45 minutes of riding and I wanted off of it.It killed my wrists.I"M 6'4". And choosing a bike that fits my tall stature was always ignored when choosing a new motorcycle purchase. Its a hinderance to be so tall at the same time wanting a motorcycle that doesnt exactly fit like a glove.
My new old cbr sits in my garage with 8 inches of snow on the ground waiting for a few body parts that I ordered online. The P.O. was a 66 year old who decided to go to a bar and left the bar anebriated and forgot to put his feet down at the first traffic light thus breaking the cowl and all right side plastic. It is costing a lot of time and money to track down the abs parts.
It is going to have some mis-matched colors as I found some new parts that are not the red and black colors.I figured I wuld use what is available at this time until some color matched parts show up for sale then sell what I just bought.Painting and adding the vinyl graphics are an option but am hoping to avoid that as cutting vinyl to match the original graphics to be beyond this owners expertise.
The fridge runs and rides like a new motorcycle and is going to be returned to its former glory.13381 miles at this time.Don'task me what I paid for it.Paid alot, probably too much but I fell head over heals in love with the quality of constuction and flowing style and just had to have it.My wife is going to kill me when she finds it in the garage.Maybe she won't notice it if its wedged between the 2007 Yamaha Roadliner.and 1975 gl1000.LOL!
Cheers all and happy to be accepted into the CBR owners forum.

welcome along buckethead. Interesting read about your purchase. I'd have suggested vinyling it from a shop but think you'd much like the original colour and look, so better to wait. But doesn't hurt to get a quote?
I am in a similar situation with my recent purchase of a zx10r c1h. Wife is on a long vacation and I just went berserk, bought bucketloads of shiny parts and the zx. Now as the date of her arrival comes close, the feeling of doom and gloom is taking hold. Oh man what have I done....
