Default Noob with F3

Hey everyone,

I just FINALLY picked up a rough-around-the-edges 1996 CBR600 F3 after wanting one for years. I'm not sure what took me so long, but I got a great deal on my new bike and I'm looking forward to bringing it back to its original glory. I'm an ASE master tech, but I've never worked on a bike before, and I've never owned a carbureted vehicle, so I'm looking forward to having a project to learn on. I intend to have this bike FOREVER.

So here are a few pictures. The quality isn't the best, I was way too excited.

Thank you, just don't look too closely! Its been dropped on both sides, and it has some little cosmetic quirks. I'll probably leave it alone for this riding season and just enjoy it as-is, but hopefully over the winter I'll be able to get a lot of work done to it. I wish the plastics were perfect because I really like the color scheme, but they aren't, so I'll have to decide what I want to do with them. I've got time before I make any decisions though.

Never tell me not to do something! HAHA i did look closer at the pics and i do see a couple marks... As long as you know how to ride it it doesnt matter what it looks like.. Scraps, Bangs, Cracks, And chips all at character!

My F4 is a little banged up! but I still get compliments and have people stopping in parking lots to take a look at my motorcycle! HAHA

Thanks, everyone! I'm a little embarrassed to admit I haven't even ridden it yet. It's been giving me some trouble...it seems to have an intermittent no-crank, no-start issue.
