Default The noob does 100+

Had a great weekend, finally got a chance to spend some real quality time with the F4i this weekend. Myself and two buddies rode from philly down to Cape may NJ. The plan was to ride to cape may, catch the ferry to deleware then continue on to Ocean city Maryland for bike weekend. On the way down we were on i think 55 south. Picutre this, open highway with hardley any cars, about 80 degrees, beautiful sunset and the sweet smell of the sea shore. At this point i figured what the hell, twisted the throttle a little more and booya, the digital was reading 105. I stayed there for about 1 minute then decided to back it down to 75mph. I figured hey why not stay alive so i can see alot more of those sunsets.
Long story short, we ended up missing the last ferry for the day so no bike weekend in Ocean city. The day wasn't a total loss, we rode up to atlantic city and hung out for a minute. Met and had dinner with three real cool females, I got a phone number hehe

I'm not too into preaching, but felt the need to share a reading from the book of Kanye West, Disc 2, Track 6, Line 5..........

You need to pump your brakes and drive slow, homie

Welcome to the board!

I agree. 100 feels like you're drivng 75 in a car. I've gone 120 on my bike in the full upright position and still felt like I was doing under 100. (but the bike is a LOT smoother at high speed than my car.) My car shakes like hell, lol.

The problem with going 100+ is that when you finally slow back down to 70 it feels and looks, if you look down or to the side, that you're just crawling! When I'm riding on the freeway I'll tuck at like 75 and then all of a sudden I'm going 90. I'm like wtf when did this happen?! Going 50 REALLY sucks because it looks like you can just jump off the bike and run with it. My top speed so far is 127 and it was pretty exhilarating. I don't know how far I'm going to push it.
