newbie from Tennessee
Just dropping in to say hello and thanks for a great forum.
I just acquired a 96 cbr 600 se (f3) was told that it's a smokin joe edition. If that is true, then according to my research, my bike is #381 (last 4 of vin 0381) New to the sportbike scene as well, so not sure what I can contribute, but will certainly absorb a ton! Anywho, looking forward to learning a bunch and helping others if I can. I plan on repairing/revamping my bike (electrical and cosmetic probs) and honing my riding skills, and it looks like I have come to the right place. Thanks all, and looking forward to being here for quite some time! |
Welcome!
Indeed, this is the place to get the skinny on the whole range of the motorcycle challenges. Check the how-to's on wrenching/riding skills, new member forums for a lot of answers to the questions you might think up. Get the gear and training to go with your bike. MSF rider's course is a good start on the training. Helmet that fits YOU, armored jacket, jeans, gloves and boots to start for your safety gear. ALWAYS wear them, even on those little, short jaunts that, "Don't really need them". Doh!! You did need them! Just as a cop never does a "routine traffic stop", you should never think of getting on a bike as "routine". Always be alert! Stay safe, enjoy the wonder, Ern |
