Default newbie; sore ears from wearing helmet

I bought my first helmet (RF1000 TC3 size S) and used it yesterday and woke up this morning with sore ears. I'm not sure if its from wearing it or whenever I take it off (always have a hard time as it always get stuck on my ears). I'm thinking of getting some thinner cheek pads and hoping that will solve the issue. Or better yet, should I just get the next size bigger? But worried that it might be a little too loose. What are the best helmet test (fit, comfort,..etc???????

helmets should fit snug... but not so snug that your ears hurt the next morning unless you have gigantic ears (and some people do) i would say try one size up just to see how it feels and then go from there. good luck!

Hello & Welcome!!

I had a liitle problem with my Scorpion and sold it for the Shoei Camber. I had to swap out the padding on the Shoei. You may want to try that first and if it doesn't work, then get a different helmet. But if you have temple space that is the right helmet for you. Usually the padding on Shoeis come a little snugger than the norm, I bet you have a size 35 in there and will need a 31. Try that....
