Default Newbie from Scandinavia

Hey all, thought it was time for an introduction.

I'm an American living here wishing he was back home in the states! I've been looking at quite a few bikes, but one bike always spoke to me, and that's the CBR.

I originally wanted to get an '02 model, but motorcycles are expensive here, even used ones. So I settled for a nice '98 model in good shape.

I'm planning on modernizing the bike over the next couple of months, and thanks to VALKYIE I got some awesome pointers in this thread.

Well, glad to be here! Hope to be a long time member.

Welcome to CBRF Fish!! Sorry you're stuck in northern Europe, but I'm sure it could be worse. Where is your home back in the states?

So what '98 CBR did you get? Post up some pics when you get the chance and enjoy the forums.

Thanks buddy. I'm originally from LA, but spent most of my days in Georgia and New York.

I was originally looking at a CBR 1100XX, but of course it was way to expensive like most everything here. So I went with a CBR 600F. Plan on upgrading it like VALKYIE's bike.

Thanks Sprock. I settled on a CBR 600F. Plan on getting a Blackbird within a year or so though. I don't know why, but that's the "ultimate" bike in my opinion. Had the pleasure of borrowing a friends for a couple of days. Was blown away.

**Edit**
I'll be posting pictures as soon as I get some time.

That's one of my dream bikes too DFish. A 1100XX, some soft saddlebags, and miles and miles of open road to conquer would make me a very very happy man.

Good luck with the 600F and on your quest for the Blackbird!
