New to sportbikes,want to buy
Hello everyone. This is a great site. I'm new to sportbikes but have been riding for the last 7 years on cruisers. A guy at work has this bike for sale, is it too much too soon or is it a good bike for me? It has a custom all black paint job.Let me know what you think. Thanks alot.
H2000 Honda CBR 929RR
Jardine Exhaust
Tinted Windscreen
Renthal Sprockets
Renthal Steel Braided Brake Lines
Fuel Injected
This is a very fast bike. Its not for a beging rider. The Jardine exhaust gives this bike a really nice sound while adding a some extra horespower. The renthal sprockets and steel braided brake lines were put on right before i bought this bike. The bike itself has 46700 miles on it but there was a new engine put on at 38000 putting 8700 miles on the new enginge. The bike is fuel injected making the throttle very sensative. The big bore motor (900cc) has alot of torque in the bottom end and alot of overall power. Its a great bike with hardly any damage.
Selling For $4500 OBO

RE: New to sportbikes, want to buy
Not sure of the price (not my department) or the add-ons/mods/new engine (still not my department), but if you have survived 7 years on cruisers without a problem, then don't fear a sportbike, I think they are easier to ride than cruisers.
Good luck and enjoy.

I wouldnt think you'd have a problem with it. It's high miles, but Id be curious about what a "New Motor" is. Just me. I would also arrange to ride it somehow. It will whip the **** out of any cruiser you've ever ridden so be careful in the lower 2 gears. When you want to start playing with the throttle, I always recommend doing it in 3rd to start with. Less likely to wheelie. Then move to 2nd and then to 1st. It give you a better feel for how it piles on velocity. Good luck and welcome.
