just joined site. name is al,I'm 36 used to ride dirt bikes growing up.First street bike was a 78 honda cx550 liquid cooled, shaft driven.I believe that was the year seems so long ago.Really haven't riden since about 20 years.Well last xmas bought my son whowas 5 at the time a honda cr50 dirtbike so i started looking at the sport bikes and i don't need to tell you guys next what happened.Walked out of the dealer w/ my own xmas bike.It was a kawasaki ninja 650r 2007,cause w/ that bike you sit straight up I shattered 3 disks2 years ago and had surgeryin neck so I did'nt want to be riding leaned over. Was not happy w/ bike at all from the get go, my brother inlaw bought a 2006 gxsr1000 in july so i asked if i could ride his no problem w/ neck.3 weeks ago traded in 650r for a 2006 honda cbr1000rr left over brand new.Man you can't smack the smile off my face, any time I can ride I do.Went to MSF school 2 weeks ago and got license, that school teaches you alot of stuff.Have to respect that bike or it will own you, well I'm glad Ijoined this forum to talk to people who I hope enjoy this bike as much as I do............

Welcome to the forum AC. Good to hear you're back in the saddle after surgery. Nice upgrade! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Be safe.

Welcome to the forum, what color did you get? I had a neighboir that had a lot of back problems and had to ride a sport bike so he wouldn't be sitting straight up without any support for his back. He could hold the right posture and be fine on a sport bike.
