Default New to the site

Hi All. New from Orange County, CA.

Not new to riding, but new to the CBR world. I had a Kawasaki EX500 for just about 2 1/2 years before I got hit a few months ago and my bike was totaled. I wasn't really in the search for a new bike, but was offered a deal I couldn't refuse.

I haven't actually gotten it yet, but I have a 2003 F4i coming my way within the next few weeks once the owner finds the pink slip. It's going to be a bit of a project bike, so I'm hoping to gleam all the wonderful information that CBR Forums has to offer.

Get some pics up as soon as you get the bike and show us all the project ahead. Welcome to CBRF!

As soon as I get my hands on the bike I'll put the pics up. If I recall correctly, the bike has around 50k miles on it, just about 90% commuting miles. I know it's been down once on the left due to a low side from being cutoff (he used too much front brake and the front slipped) and he slid into a car that made a left in front of him and it busted up the right side.

My buddy isn't too mechanically inclined so as far as I know all maintenance was done at a shop his other friend runs, but not sure at this point what all has to be done.

If nothing else I'm figuring new plastics (or repair the current ones, can't remember how badly damaged it was) Spark plugs, chain/sprockets, oil change, fuel filter. SS Brake lines, new levers, possibly new clutch/springs, and whatever else I can find wrong on the bike. It's going to be fun.

Thanks all for the warm welcomes.

Pics as soon as possible I promise Unfortunately my buddy's moved like 4 times in the last couple years so he's having a hard time locating the pink. May just go pick up the bike from his this weekend if I get a chance then we can hash out the pink slip issue later.
