Smile New rider from Sac, CA!

Hey everyone my name is Eduardo cantu I am a student currently attending UTI at the sacramento California campus I am purchasing a 1987 honda cbr 600 f1 today I'm very happy to be apart of such a great forum I'm 19 years old originally from McMinnville Oregon came to California a year ago for school and my main love was always cars but now I find myself into bikes as well I'm a begginers rider meaning no experience on a bike I'm hoping to make new friends on here that can cheap me some tricks and tips about riding and working on bikes I apologize in advance if I ask a lot of questions about "simple" things again I have never owned, rode, or even been on a motorcycle but I'm a fast learner and I hope to have people maybe take me under their wing in learning more about this classic beauty of a bike and other CBR's as well thank you everyone have a great day and ill talk to you around the forums I plan on being an active member so responses will be quick thanks a lot and have a great day! Ride safe everyone!

Welcome to the forum Eddy.
Ask all the questions you want. There are lots of helpful and knowledgeable members here to help you. We all started riding sometime ago and had all the same questions you have. Have a good read around and ask away....

Welcome to CBRF Eddy!

Hope your purchase goes well & you get a great bike.

As for 'tips'... The best tip I can give you is to take the MSF Course...Motorcycle Safety Foundation. The course will teach you basic riding techniques & safety. Then, build upon those basics to become a good responsible rider. Plus, the course counts for both the written & riding DMV tests in my states. Also gets you a discount on your insurance as well.

Glad you found us. Settle in & enjoy the forum.

Welcome aboard! I haven't seen much local activity on this site for group rides in the area, but have met and ridden with a bunch of folks that have VFR's. We've done several rides up in the foothills and had a blast. (I even enjoyed the ride that I crashed on... Not a bad crash, but now my VFR800 has a few scars )

Welcome to the CBR Forum Eduardo.

The CBR600 is a beautiful bike and I wish you well with your owneship.

There is a very strong, knowledgable and resourceful 600 crew on the forum, so post any questions you have and I'm sure they will be answered.

And, pics of your bike when you can

Cheers, SB

welcome to CBRF.

don't be afraid to ask questions. good luck with your 600, it'll be a lot of fun so long as you ride safe and not above your comfort level.
