New rider/owner with liscense plate question
Does it draw more attention from the cops when the plate is installed on the side of the bike near the chain. I would think the cops can not see the plate and are likely to pull you over. Thats really where I want to mount it but DO NOT want any added attention from the cops!!! Please tell me your expieriances

i mounted mine on the swingarm this winter and have had the bike out a few times this year during weather breaks. I have had a local city cop and a Michigan State Trooper behind me and both did not pull me over for a sideways plate. I also do not have a light on my plate either so night riding might get me more attention. I do not think you will have a problem unless the cops in your area are a-holes.
I have silver and black brackets for slae if you are interested.

First off Hello & welcome to the forum.
Secondly, It depends on the city/county, cops disposition that day on whether you get attention or not.
My plate is mounted under the pipe using the hanger band and haven't been pulled over ever for that (then again I haven't been pulled over ever on ths bike in 8 yrs )
Can it draw undeserved attention? Perhaps but unlikely

I think the way you ride has more to do with how much attention you get than anything, (not that I ride like a saint- just sayin') unless the "boys" happen to pull out right behind you, and follow you for a while- it may give them a reason to take a closer look...
My bro's plate is actually mounted up under the rear cowl, not an eliminator- his is mounted directly onto the plastic of his ZX-7R and with a little dirt and/or rubber on it, you can 'almost' tell its a licsense plate... he's never had a cop question it, just got pulled over for doing rooster tails in the water at a stop light coupla weeks ago- got off with a warning, no mention of the plate at all.
