New Rider, Nice Bike
Hi, my name is Paul and I have a 1999 Honda CBR 600. This is my first bike and I love it.I'm still trying to get use to it. Any good tips for a first time rider.
P.S. I did take the MSF class.

RE: New Rider, Nice Bike
Welcome to the Forum.
Advice - best I have is these two :
http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/ho...ays/index.html
and 'ride like everyone in a car wants to kill you.'
I'm not a believer in gloom and doom, but after nearly 44 years in the saddle, these are the words of a realist.
Enjoy what we have to offer, post up pics when you can...........
Grab a manual from my siggy if you feel the need.

Welcome to the forums Paul :-)
..and yes every driver is out to kill you is sound advice but that presupposes they can actually see you!! ..lol
They cant!!
So ride like you are invisible at all times, no one can see you and ride accordingly,
it sounds a pain but it does become second nature with time ...
Oh and click the link in my sig, the only way to avoid an obstacle and ride well around the bends is to be totally familiar with counter steering!!
Enjoy the site and stay safe!! :-)
