New rider, New CBR owner
Hey guys just thought i'd say hello from the UK as I find forums like this very useful.
Just bought a 1998 CBR F 600 as my first bike, not got much experience on bikes but you can't learn until you get on the bike.
Went out for first time last night and loved it but will take time to get used to it.
Only problem I have is the guy who I bought it from put TYRE SHINE!! on about 1" of tread on the wheel and it is always on the back of my mind when making turns.
I couldn't believe he did this as he was an experienced biker himself, anyone know a way to get it off?
Thanks

Congrats on getting your first bike!
As for the lack of experience... Ride your own ride! Take you time & learn.
Tire dressing on the tires?!?!?!?!?...NOoooooo! Take a tire brush w/ soap & water, & wash that stuff off! Dish washing soap works wonders.
Anyway...welcome to the forum. Good to have you here.

Congrats on the bike, I've recently gone down the same route but with a 99 F4.
I'd echo the advice about the tyre dressing, some dope had spilled oil on the side of my rear tyre when I had it delivered so my first job was with a bucket of soap and water getting that off.
You'll pretty quickly start experimenting with leaning the bike over a bit and I'm sure you dont want that on there when you do
Where abouts in the UK are you from?
