Default New Rider in GA

Hello everyone, new rider here in Georgia. I picked up a 2006 cbr 600rr about a month ago...and I LOVE IT!!! For anyone that cares I'll post some pictures of it later.

And yes I am taking the training course, and I have gear that the previous owner thru in with the purchase. I look forward to learning these bikes in and out with your guys help, of course!

The previous owner said that the bike is -1 in the front sprocket and nothing in the rear, can anyone tell me exactly what this means/what it does as far as performance? This is my first bike so I am clueless to all the lingo.

they both too much bike for a n00b lol. Welcome to both of you. To answer the sprocket question, -1 on the front sprocket is equivalent to +3 on the rear. It makes the power of the bike more useful down low n reduces top end.

Ok cool thanks! So does changing the sprocket make a big difference vs a stock bike?

And yes being a true noob...I wouldn't reccomend a 600 lol This thing is fast! But I didnt want a cruiser...its just not my style

I hope the previous owner didnt give you a helmet as well. If I were you, I'd go out and buy a new helmet ASAP. You do not know
the integrity of that helmet, it's just something you don't want to risk.
