New with questions!
Well it finally happened! I got my CBR! I have been rideing motorcycles for quite some time now but I have always wanted a CBR and as of 12noon today I have it. I got a 2006 600F4I, blue/black and I love it.
Now after riding it today I noticed that I don't have a fuel gauge. It lights/shows up on start up but then dissapears. Is this normal for this bike or do I already need to take it in for service? Maybe is there a fuse block that I can check and just maybe while the were delivering it it poped a fuse?
Anyway I really want to mod it but we now are officially broke, so that'll come later!

RE: New with questions!
Welcome to the forum...
I did not know the F4's used idiot lights instead of a fuel gauge. That's kind of cheaping out. The fact that sport bikes have gauges for everything is one of the reasons I love them. Technology at it’s best… cruisers and Harleys are lucky to have a speedometer.

RE: New with questions!
That's right... the gauge only shows up when you hit the reserve (0.9 gallon left). I bought the exact same bike a little over a month ago. I use the tripometer to keep track of things. I can usually get about 200 miles per tank, depending on how hard I'm driving of course. So just remember, if you see that light come on, you have about 40 miles or so to get to the next gas station. BTW, welcome and have fun on your new bike!
