[align=center]I wish you much success with the German learn.
You know that German is a very heavy language.
I am pleased however much about the fact that you would like to learn German.
Why like would you German to actually learn???

For a few reasons - Firstly I am alwas impressed by someone who speaks a 2nd language - I studied German at school (a good few years ago now) so am not toally new to the language.

I am also half german myself (german father) so I have a link to Germany. Unfortunately I was not brought up bi-lingual.

Finally, I have spent qite a few £££s on German language CD's -so if I don't use them the other half will kill me [sm=smiley1.gif]

I don't really have any relatives in Germany now, but they were in Hamburg - I used to visit every year when I was a kid, 25 years ago or so!

I have not been to Germany for a long time now, but if I manage to get better at the language I'd like to do a bike trip over there - next year perhaps.

Wow Nicky, you live in an amazing place - those pics are great! There are some nice places over here too - the Lake District and parts of Scotland look similar.

We have always just known them as Fireblades here ..also shortened to just "blade" ..they absolutley exploded here in the early 90s and everyone and his brother got himself a blade .. I suppose with good reason, they really were *that* good ..anyone else from the UK remember one of our experienced motorcycle testers killing himself not long after launch?? ..I think it was superbike or performance bike or one of them ..I think he opened the taps too much too soon and hit a van, had a family and children too .. very sad

Hmm, sounds like we'rea fewmonths ahead of you or so - we're not 'officially' in recession yet, but will be when it is announced this month when the last quarter's figures are in. The media are going on about 600,000 people to lose their jobs this year + other general doom and gloom - I'm a firm believer that you can talk yourself in to a recession (or at least make it worse) and that is just what we are doing over here.

We still plan to get over to Oz, but will have to wait and see now what happens - we had planned to be leaving the UK at the end of 2009 but that plan is out of the window. Still, good things come to those who wait, or so they say.....
