Hello everyone,

i just traded my bmw m3 for a 05 600rr. This is my first bike. I dont plan on taking it out on the main roads till next spring, hopefully i can get decently comfy on it just putting around my neighborhood. Only issue with the bike is that the tach doesnt work for some reason. So far ive watched twist of the wrist II and plan on taking a MSF when available.

Welcome to the CBRForum m33plol!

Congrats on your 600rr. Kudos for planning to take the MSF...that's an extremely smart move.

Your tach may just have a loose connection. Hope you get it sorted out.

theres a common problem with our tachs, the buttons are attached to a whit piece of plastic, over time that POS plastic breaks off and just rattles around inside. the easy solution is too take your buttons off (the rubber just pulls out) and clip some empty ball point pens to length and stick them down inside of the tach and put your buttons back on. this is very vague but let me do some searching and i'll find the thread that goes in depth... and i cant take credit for this someone else posted a HOW TO on another forum!

on a side note get some pics of that bad boy up!

found it! now in this How To the guy takes his entire gauge off his bike, now i did it without taking it out so don't worry, its just a little tougher to get the pens inside.

got the bike today! runs very good, and checked everything over that a veteran rider buddy told me to check out and it all seemed good so i went ahead with the trade. Never ridden a street bike before, so i was a little hesitant. Hopped on, stalled it out a few times then finally got it going. went down the road and turned around in a court then came back. here are some pics!

Nice color scheme. I saw that version of those fairings on an RC51 recently. Looks great.

Glad you like it. Hope the bike works out well for you. Congrats!

im not feeling the color scheme at all. i just figured this whole running bike would be a lot easier to sell if i need cash instead of my half finished bmw project.
