Default New member and restoring a cbr!

Hello everyone! I just recently was given a 1990 cbr1000f and in the process of bringing her back to life! I decided to join the forums after a couple threads helped me out immensely in trouble shooting some issues!
If anyone can help point me in the right direction for some electrical issue threads i would appreciate that

Hi and welcome to the forum. Can you be more specific on exactly what type of electrical issues you're talking about?

Hi thank you! so when i went to pick up the bike it was completely dead, no lights, no noises, nothing, went ahead and bought a new battery from autozone and when i put it in still nothing, absolutely no sign of life in the bike. Yesterday i went ahead and replaced the main 30A fuse and still nothing…

So today i got a multimeter and these are the readings i got
-For both in On and Off position
Battery 10v
Main fuse B teminal 10v
Main 30A fuse both sides 10v

So it seems like its getting power but still no sign of life in the bike when i put it into on position or anything

Hi. congratz and beautiful machine there
normally a healthy 12V battery at rest would read 12.8V - 13V. are you sure it read 10V at rest ? let us know.

Thank you! and yes as far as im aware the multimeter ran 10v output at max, but in all honesty i dont believe the battery i got for the bike is the correct one (the terminals were shaped very differently from the oem) so i went ahead and returned it and bought the correct one online, should be here in about 2-3days and ill update from there!
