New member, Old bike.
Hi everyone,
just purchased a 1991 cbr600F.
Its currently in London being prepared for a road trip to where I now live on the Rock of Gibraltar.
Looking forward to getting involved with this group, making contacts and learning more about these great bikes.
Ive owned plenty of bikes over the years, mostly Triumph's, a 250 Royal Enfield (many many years ago) and most recently a Honda 650 Nighthawk.
Hopefully attached is a pictutre of the CBR.
Cheers,
Graham.
Obviously not in original trim but tidy enough, picture taken in Mountnessing, Essex UK.

Thanks, will do.
Ive already driven the approximate route twice before by car to visit family back in the UK so I know roughly what the time frames are but this time round I'm going to try and avoid the toll roads, which in France are very expensive !
Fortunately I have remembered some of the french lessons I did at school so can get by, due to where I now live my Spanish is not too bad either, i wont starve or die of thirst thats for sure
My bigger learning curve is what to pack for roadside emergencies if I get any problems along the way.

Something to keep in mind when traveling by motorcycle. The typical times will be longer. Mostly due to how long your stops take. When you're in a car, you can grab a bite to eat and drink and take it with you. That's not so easy on a motorcycle. Typically you have to finish your drink and food before you're on the road again, so anticipate longer stops. But it sounds like you're in for a great ride.

Yes you're right about the longer rest/fuel stops, I'm factoring in about a week to do the trip in a fairly relaxed pace, found out to my cost that the times given by Google maps need to be extended by about 50% at least.
I just hope the weather holds and I dont have any dramas' on the way down.
