Hi!

I'm new to bikes, at least the big ones. Got my license for "Heavy" street bikes last year. Been riding 50 cc's for a while though.

I'm 25 years old, and live in Norway (close to Oslo).

"I" have a 1994 Honda CBR 1000F. It's actually my dads bike, but when he took it out the week before I had my drivers test, that was the first time it saw daylight in 2 years. I Drove it allot last summer and some leaking and other problems started showing up.
Right now we are doing some repairs to get it ready for summer!

Been looking into the forum for a while, so figured I should register =)

Some pics of the bike

Welcome to the forum!

Looks like a beautiful place to ride, for a few months a year at least...

Welcome to the CBR Forum - and the world of big capacity two-wheelers!

Your Dad has good taste - it's a nice bike.

Make sure you drop into the Hurricane Saloon and say Hi.

Cheers, SB

What are ya doing for the bike as far as getting it ready? Just a service or doing anything major?

Hi and welcome from the other side of the bottenviken! Really nice looking bike you got there, hope you get it fixed by the summer! We got a few guys from sweden but I don't recall anyone from norway yet. Who knows, maybe we could some day make a CBRF viking meet at say, örebro or stockholm ;D

I'm getting some paint done on both the tail pipes, the front left main fairing and some other small details.

I'm also trying to fix a leak in the radiator, think i found it in the hose between the radiator and the water pump. I'll find out when i flush the system.

I also need to refurbish the rear shock, as the bike is "dancing" abit.
and figure out why nothing is happening when i press the rear break (hopefully i just need to vent it)

And of course a service =)

And thanks to all of you for your welcomes =)))

We actually might drive through Finland this summer aswell, we're talking about driving from Oslo to Tromsø, then through Finland with a ferry over to Tallinn. If that happens there's a chance we'll drive right through your neighborhood =)
