Talking New member, East TN

Whats up CBRers. New rider.
Completed and passed the motorcycle safety course this weekend also.
That was fun.
Got me a 95 CBR 1000F back in march.
It's a street fighter in the making, I guess.
Doesn't have any fairings, I had to buy and rig up mirrors and headlights.
Was running kinda rough when I got her.
Charged the battery, cleaned and lubed the chain,
ran a bunch of seafoam through the gas, changed spark plugs, and changed the oil twice (first with seafoam)just to clean her out good.
Now she runs great.
Might need a brake bleed.
Missing some screws and bolts here and there, but nothing vital.
It makes a rattle at certain rpm but seems to go away when revved a Lil bit.
But it does come back, does it warm and cold but not at all times.
Was told it might be the cam chain rattle
or it could be from missing a bolt on the exhaust manifold.

Other than that and the crappy electrical job, when the guy put it back together,
I love it.

Congrats on passing & kudos for taking the MSF course! Always good to hear that.

Congrats as well on your 1000F. They really are tanks that last & last. Glad you are enjoying it. We have a good sized Hurricane section here that can help you w/ just about anything. Feel free to ask if you need help w/ something.

Be careful & don't get over tempted by the Dragon. You're close to it & I know it calls! ;-)

Good to have you w/us. Welcome aboard!

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
@demon: That's exactly what I'm hoping. I want to know every little detail about my bike lol

@estate: yup, seems like the more I love on her the better she gets

@jveach: I'm in the tri-cities area. Looks about 2.5 hours from london.

@gotcbr: Yeah, it seems like a really good built engine. Still runnin strong after 17 years!
I work with a buddy who has been riding all his life. He has a 08 gixxer 750.
He goes to the dragon quite a bit. He has a picture of him leaning so far it looks like
he's laying down in the road. Insane.
You're right, it is calling loudly!!! Don't think I'll be doing any motogp crap anytime soon lmao
I did watch "A Twist of the Wrist" a few times. It actually helped before taking the MSF.
now to go find how to post some pics.

some pics of my girl.
The lights I want.

some signals I got from my boy.

HAD to share these lmao. Nobody gets why I took these, but I'm sure this forum will.

The spark plug that popped out. You can see how the tip is bent and has a .000 gap lol
Not sure if that's why 2 of em popped out, or if the plugs bouncing up and down after
they popped out bent in the tip in.
Checked the new ones after riding and they aren't bent so I'm thinking it was from them hitting inside the plug chute.

Muffler fell off like a week ago so I took some pics.

inside

cleaning the chain

new headlights.

First day I got her

bunch of pics.

from today.

Your bike is one tough looking beast! Def has character. ;-)

Pretty neat kid's toy motorcycle on that box.
