Hi all! I'm a new member, and just wanted to say was'up! My name is Anderson, I'm from the Bronx, NY. I'm looking into by a CBR! Just just not sure which one yet...600RR or 1000RR. I 've riden a 86' CB450E, but that was about 10 years ago, and with all of the new technology available on new bikes today, I've yet to decide whci one to go with... Ten years ago it was obvious. The more cc, the fast you would go, but also the heavier the bike would be. These days, would a 600 be almost as fast as a 1000? I would apreciate if you all would give me some advice!!!

Also, I've been at some shops looking at 2005 prices. It seems that now that the 2006s are coming in the 2005s are on sale. But I've heard that that's because, this is the slow time of the year here in the northeast. and prices shoud go up again by January/February! Have anyone experienced this when looking for new bikes? I would apreciate some input on this as well!!!

Thanks to all,

Anderson

Hello & welcome. If you haven't ridden in quite awhile, start off and take a MSF class. Once you do that, i'd look into an older 600F3 or 600F4. Much more friendly & forgiving then a 600RR or 1000RR.

Welcome to the family:

1. MSF course
2. 600 cc or lower
3. Know your limits and stay within them
