Update
Thanks for all your messages. tried to start the bike last weekend and it pissed fuel out everywhere.
Lesson 1 - Tighten ALL the phillips head screws connecting the carbs!!
Lesson 2 - Dont assume that if it worked before that it will work again!!!!
Resolved one leak to find another coming from the overflow pipe( between the carbs). Removed carbs and stripped them down, pretty easy to do, just be methodical, to find that the jets were blocked and one of the float valves was completely shot. How this bike ran i will never know. Have now completely cleaned each component and after many searches found a company that sells float valves at sensible prices ( wemoto.com), will update you guys if the delivery is upto it.
Im doing this bike on a tight budget, and hand restoring everything, telling myself that once finished, i will be able to pride myself in the thought that i did it all. Lets face it, if i had the money, id pay.lol
