Hi all, new in the forum. I like it already...

I don’t have a CBR, I do however have a CB1300SF.
So far as I know, the motor on my 1300 is derived from the CBR1000F and I’m out looking for feedback on how to make it faster by fitting parts (performance parts preferably) from the F.
Any input highly appreciated.

Thanks
Manos

Welcome Manos , mess with the sprocket ratio's for instant thrills !

I believe BlueLight Racing (BLR) make an i-conII controller for it too !

Thanks for the welcoming note, it's nice being here!

I shouldn't mess with the sprocket ratios.
The bike will shred the rear tire in pretty much any gear. In top gear it will hit the rev limiter, if you hold on the bike for long enough (...not:eek: easy...!)

I need to make the gears longer but can't find any bigger sprockets for forward or a smaller for aft.

...and before you ask, yes, I would like to get more horses out of Goliath. First to see if I can (with what I have in mind) and second because I'm a typical boy with a toy:icon_playing:...

The BLR thingie is for fuel injection, correct?
Mine has carburettors, I’m a little old fashioned to be honest. It seems that Stage One for better (=bigger) fuel supply would be the carbs off the 1000F (38mm vs 36mm on mine) and then the full Monty, the venerable, the king of carbs, the burn-my-wallet and hole-my-pocket… the FCR!
…as the Mask would say… “Somebody stop me!”

You see it’s funny. A part of me, the serious, adult part, insists I keep the bike stock. It’s plenty fast, comfortable, the lot. Then the kid in me says “go for it, see what happens, see how many crotch rocketeers you can surprise...”
...Did I mention it has a Rothmans replica color scheme?

Indianna Hurricane, thanks for the welcome!

Now, this is embarassing...
I just realized that the 1000F carbs are "downdraft", aren't they? Meaning that they are feeding an engine that leans forward a bit. Correct?
My engine sits upright, so I'd need "sidedraft" carbs.
Sometimes (most often in fact...) my enthusiasm gets ahead of me.
It was worth a thought, though...
