Hi All

I just bought a 1988 CBR 600 Hurricane. I have wanted on ever since the the superbowl ad that had the ninja performing his martial arts and the wind starts to shake the room he's. Then he opens a trap door in the floor and hides with the voice over "Even the ninja know to hide from a Hurricane"! That was it I've wanted one ever since. A friend of mine was getting rid of his so bought it. It is in need of some TLC but its in pretty good condition. He just hasn't had time for it. I have popped onto the site before an have gotten a lot of good info and hope to continue as the restoration proceeds!

 

hey welcome to the site :-) ... I have always liked the original F1 ever since my dad took me to a dealer in 1987 and I saw a red/silver one ... I have been into CBR600s ever since!!

Had a '87 red/blk 600 for my first bike back in '90.

I started riding when I was 14 and have owned many bikes since then. My favorite bike (which I still have) was the 84 Honda nighthawk 700s (red). I just restored it 2 years ago before my son was born and its running strong. When my friend from college said he didn't have time for his bike I just couldn't let it go to someone else. He almost cried when he helped me load it into my trailer ( he has owned it for almost 18 years). I told him he could have visitation rights and he made me promise that if I sold it he got first refusal rights.

Well I hope to have it on the road in a few weeks. I am just waiting on a few parts (found on this forum I might add).
