Default New here, wanted to say hi.

Hey guys new to the forum with an 01 F4i. I bought it in April with 16k miles for $3300.

I have been riding for about 5 years off and on, but mostly older (70s) Honda's (CB550/CX500).

Since the pics I have replaced the cheap-o fake CF ebay mirrors with OEM style emgos (much, much better). I'm also waiting for replacement clutch and brake levers from Hong Kong (black) to replace the faded red (now pink) ones. I also plan to remove the no-cut frame sliders and eventually cut the fairings.

Pics of the bike below!

You guys think white reflective tape would look good on the red wheels?

welcome to the forum, Phil.

check out the pictures here (https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...-inside-20438/) for one with rim tape on a bike like yours. IMO, it would look great. you could always try it and see how it looks.

Thanks everyone, glad to be a new member here.

After riding for awhile today, I think I may be digging in to replace the CCT soon. The bike has a distinct rattle at about 5k RPMs which sounds to me like what everyone has described as a failed (or failing) CCT. I'm no stranger to a wrench at all so no issues there. Where's the best place to order an OEM CCT online?(not too interested in the manual APE)

Just wanted to add I'm in the metro Detroit area. I try to hit the usual spots like Royal Oak, Plymouth, Ypsi, etc... but I really want to get this thing out on some nice curvy roads, so if anyone is from around the area let me know where you ride.

Wanted to update the thread with some newer pics. Replaced the crappy aftermarket mirrors with EMGOs, replaced red clutch/brake levers with black ones, washed, waxed, clean and lubed the chain. I also replaced the fairing bolts with gloss blach ones.

I also put the rim tape on the rear wheel, just waiting on my front stand to get here so I can put it on the front.

Anyone in the metro Detroit area with black rims want to swap for my red??
