new guy & questions
Hello all, I'm 26 years old and looking to get my first bike and the one I want is a 2001-02 cbr f4i I love that bike, but since I am new to the sport I have a few question to ask before buying one.
I was wondring about kms on a bike what would be concerned high / too risky for that year/model.
The average numbers iv seen are 28k to about 35k and where I live in Canada thats with a price tag of around 3800-5300.
Also are there any known (factory) issues for the 01-02 f4i.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum JDM-KID.
The mileage question is subjective. It all depends on the care & maintenance that the bike has received w/ its current owner. In general, to ans your question, 28-35 kms are not all that much for an F4i. We have members here w/ over 100K.
As far as "known" issues, the CCTL typically needs replacing at some point but its not expensive to do. F4i's are excellent bikes & tend to wear like tanks. As long as they are maintained, they just go & go.
Just be sure to do your homework on how to look at used bikes. Take someone w/ you to look if you can. An extra pair of eyes is always helpful. Even better if you can have the bike checked over at Honda service. Honda can do a pre-purchase check for about $85. They'll completely check the bike over & determine any needs.
Good luck.
