Nice ride, welcome to the forum. I rode my first motorcycle in 1980 to San Antonio, TX from Clearwater, FL. That was a cool trip and I enjoyed it out there. Was visiting my sister and her then BF, now husband.

Maybe not directed at me, but offering my . Running Continental ContiMotion on my wifes and ContiAttack on mine. I've used Pirelli's, Dunlops, Shinko's, and a few others I can't think of at the moment. All have performed well. I'm not a super aggressive rider by any stretch. I have found that the profile of the Shinko's were not as well balanced when going into a corner. I also recommend sticking with the size recommended for the wheel. Changing sizes alters the profile and thus affects the handling characteristics, and more often than not it's for the worse.
yes sir definitely getting some new tires. Thinking pirelli angel st. What tires are you running?
I've run the Dunlop Q3+ and currently am running Michelin Power Pilot 2CT's. Love 'em both! The Q3's were way more tire than I needed at my skill level so I switched to the 2CT's and have been happy with them on the road and the track. No experience with Pirelli's but those look like they would be good high mileage tire for a sportbike!

It's all good! I ran Shinko's on my 300. Much better than the stock tires but, yeah, had some quirky handling characteristics...
