Default New Guy - In Hamilton Ontario Canada

Hi all. Just picked up my first CBR/street bike, its a 1990 CBR f1 600. Its going to be my first project bike, going to tear it down and build it up. It came in rough shape but the price was right. $100. I look forward to starting a build thread in the near future. Joining to look for info and leads on parts . Chat more soon.

Cheers,
Blake

Welcome to the CBR Forum Blake,

Hop into the CBR F1 section and say hi, and post some pictures of your project. Lots of knowledgeable folk on the site who will offer support and advice along the way.

Cheers, SB

Hey Blake let's see that build thread! Sounds promising... $100 can buy a lot of bike provided you can plate it and ride it

Hey guys, Plans are to swap fairings to 03-04 fairings as I can not find oem fairings anywhere except the copies. Here are some pics...

Its pretty much complete. Just needs the missing fairs and a new clutch. Previous owner told me the tranny slips at 120-130km/hr so I am guessing its a clutch issue.
I am also looking into swaps for the rear chainslay, would be cool to run a tucktail exhaust and wider tires. we shall see tho.
