Talking New guy from Greenville NC

What's up CBR Forum, my name is Eric and I just picked up an 02 CBR954RR. However, it is a Salvage title bike with 07 CBR1000RR engine/fairings. I never owned a bike that wasn't all stock so I'm sure I'll have some questions as I try to ensure everything is correct. My first bike was an 09 SV650 which I loved learning to ride on, but I've always loved the sound of the I-4 so I was on the market for one. Anyways, that's about it.

Here's a pic of the "good side", the other side has a broken fairing.

Welcome.
Bike looks good. are you sure its a 954? The motor, exhaust, and swing arm looks to be that of a 1000. Make sure your engine and frame #s match the bike.

I know the previous owner had it in his fleet of stunt bikes but he didn't mention why everything was swapped.

I noticed everything looked to be 1000rr but the frame vin, which is the same as title, is for 2002 954.

Somethin smells fishy. Thats not a 954 frame. There will be a number stamped on the frame on the neck. Match that one as well as the engine number on the title with the block. just dont want you to take the rap for something you didnt do...
