Default New guy check in

Hey guys, I'm new to the sport bike scene and just bought me a starter bike. I picked up a 90 cbr600f. I got her fir a good deal in my opinion, for $425. Mechanically the bike is sound and the only problem with it is I haven't heard the fan kick on yet, but it might just not have gotten hot enough yet. The body is a bit rough including a set of homemade front fairings. Any tips or advice on things I should do to this bike will be apreciated. Here she is in all her glory!

Great deal for a starter bike. Welcome aboard!

First things you should do? Change all the fluids: oil, coolant and brake fluid. People seem to skip the brake fluid till there's a problem stopping . While you're flushing and bleeding the brakes, check the pads for wear. Check the air filter.

Great deal! I second changing the fluids, and ride safe! Make sure you have all your gear. As far as I know the fan should kick in at around 230 degrees, but that's what I was told for my 2001 CBR. Might be different for your model.

Changed all the fluids as soon as I got her home. I was told it has been jetted and has aftermarket clutches. Also noticed that it has renthal sprockets and a very thick chain. My cruiser is shaft driven so I'm new to the whole chain driven thing. What do you guys recommend as far as living the chain with and how often it should be done? Thanks for the welcome guys/gals!
