NEW GUY, BUT LONG TIME RIDER

Hi all...... Always been a Honda Rider my whole life! Just got my 03 600RR this yr... Just put the Jardine exhaust and a fender elimator on last night.... Putting the stock blinkers where the reflectors were.... looks pretty good and sounds even better! My first croch rocket... Started with Honda of course....82 Honda 650 Nighthawk, had for couple yrs... 84 Honda Sabre V45 had that for the longest time then got married and kids... SO sold it.. Couple yrs ago got a CHERRY 86 Nighthawk S 700, had under 10,000 miles.. Sold it and made $1200 after owning it for 3 yrs so MOVED on to my 600RR.. WOW what a difference.. =o)

MY QUESTION: Anyone after putting an after market exhaust on, does the seat get any hotter since there is alot of heat deflectors on the stock exhaust.... DROP me an ANSWER/COMMENTS/OTHER...... please!

Later and keep it upright and be safe!
E

Hello & Welcome...I got the rt-1 jardine on my bike, and my man has the laser on his RR. His seat does get a little warm with the exhaust being under it, but nothing to cook buns about.

Hello and welcome to the boards. Congrats on the 600RR. I have heard the seat can get alittle hotter with an aftermarket exhaust. I have a few friends that have gotten heat shielding to put under the seat or around the exhaust. If you go to a car performance shop (Automotive engineering, supershops, ect) you should be able to find some. It's used in cars, but it works great on a bike as well.
