Default New to the forum, project 99 cbr600 f4

Hey whats up guys,

My name is Eric and I just picked up a "wrecked" 99 CBR 600 F4 with 24k miles. I'm new to riding, but according to some friends of mine who have been riding for a while told me about some of the higher dollar parts that came on the bike; a steering dampener, full jardine exhaust, and a alarm system. Tires are pretty new as well as the brakes. Frame is straight and the bike is mechanically sound. $1100 for it

So far we are doing a full street fighter project with it. Doing a full wire tuck with it once I figure out a headlight for it. And I also have a tail swap we are hoping will work.

BTW I need this part, left side where the shifter is.

The bracket that holds it to the bike broke. Any idea where I can get it?

Welcome and Hello to the CBR Forum!!! That piece you are looking for is called the rearset. Stop by the F4 section someone there should be able to tell you a place to find some good aftermarket one for you bike. Good Luck on fixing your bike up.

Going to go to the dealer tomorrow for the rear shifter set. Are the pins reusable? Or do I have to get new pins?

Also ordered an Acerbis cyclops headlight, bar end mirrors, and a new stator cover for the street fighter project. I'll have updated pics once I receive everything. I think the headlight is going to look pretty sick!

I prolly wouldn't go to the dealer for a new rearset. It's gonna be pretty expensive compared to getting one off ebay or here at the forum.

Anyway, welcome to the CBRF, man. Wish you luck with her.
