Default New to the forum looking for advice on a used bike

Hello,
This is my first post on the forum and I'm looking for some advice as to whether a used bike I'm looking at is over priced. The bike in question is a 2000 Honda cbr 600f4 with 4200 miles on the clock for 3500.00. It's a one owner bike and the fellow selling it sounds like he broke in the engine per specs and has taken good care of the bike and recently had it serviced, I imagine to getting it running since I'm sure given the milage it sat around most of its life. I've attached the link for the CL ad below. It is considerably over blue book value, but I've heard BB value doesn't mean much when it comes to bikes. Any perspective and thoughts are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Very clean bike but overpriced in my opinion.

Take $1000 of and it's in the ballpark for an 18 year old completely stock non FI bike.

Hell, with that low miles and IF it shows no signs of being dropped (and a stock pipe and no dumbass stickers all over the bodywork, all positives in my book), then even $3000 is not out of the question. That is, if I was looking at it.

As long as he's willing to negotiate a bit, then it's worth some haggling. Looks like a nice ride.

Hey!

Thanks for the replies! This forum really works Reinforces my thinking that it's over priced. The fellow doesn't seem interested in coming down, but perhaps that will change if now one offers him his asking price. I figure i'll give him sometime and if the bike is still available maybe he'll be more flexible.
