New to the forum/just bought by first bike
I bought a 93 CBR F2 last week for dirt cheap. Mechanically everything is in good shape, but I need to replace the tires and the upper left fairing. While the tire issue will be taken care of pretty easily, I'm having a tough time finding the fairing.
I joined a forum of mostly connecticut riders and after buying the bike they told me it'd be a good idea to join this one to learn alot more about cbr's and bikes in general.

Congrats on the new purchase. Can we see some pics? Check out ebay for fairings. Buying OEM plastics can be expensive and kind of a pain but worth it in the end when everything fits the way it's supposed to.
Be sure to use the search feature to read up on tires. It seems like everyone has an opinion on what's best for each bike. When I was tire shopping I found a post by a member that had a similar riding style as me and ended up getting a great deal from motorcycle-superstore on tires I'm super happy with. Safe riding and welcome.

Thanks for all the advice.
The first thing I did was take the safety course and I dropped a good chunk of money on gear, I'm trying to learn from my friends mistakes as much as possible instead of making my own.
Don't expect to see pics up anytime soon, although it would probably make for a few good laughs. I bought a real beater so if/when I drop it I wont care as long as the bike still runs. Mechanically the bike is in solid shape but isn't exactly the best looking thing Ive seen.

Good move on the gear, bud. It just takes one fall to pay for itself ten times over.
As far as the pics.... We don't mind seeing a beat up old lady. Many of us come home to one every day. We're used to it....
