Default new to forum intro and bike won't start.

Hello. My name is Aaron. I live in York PA. I bought a '96 cbr 600 in May of 2008 with 16000 miles. It now has 18500. Before I picked it up from the dealer, they installed a new rear break pad, new oil, and new plugs which i just verified are the ngk 9's. In the past year I've replaced the stator with an electrosport because my battery kept dying and the shop said the stator was putting out less than 1v. At the same time I replaced the r/r with a cheap ebay one and later replaced the clutch cable because it snapped. Bike ran perfect. Now almost exactly a year later my battery dies...

continued in general tech forum.

Hey there lqdcat, sorry for you technical issues, but it sounds to me like you're staying on top of it; good luck with your fix...

batteries suck. even the maintenance free ones die when you let them sit on concrete between riding seasons. i experienced this myself. now I just get the autozone batteries, and always put my bike on its stands if I am not going to ride for a few days. I also use a trickle charger.
