New to forum! Have mechanical questions.

Hello. So I bought a 2002 cbr600f4i last september. I've noticed a ticking noise near my front wheel when I am engine braking in 3rd gear or higher. It doesn't seem to affect anything but I'm curious if anyone would have an idea what it could be? I appreciate any answers and thank you for the time!

Check your disc bobbins.

Could be many of things. Could be your wheel bearings as well. This thej split seat model right so you won't have the centre stand? Get it on a headstick or abba stand or may be ask a mate to pivot and support the bike on the side stand. With him holding the bike, grab the forks and pull and see if there is any give. If there is then it could even be your steering stem bearings. Do the same with the fromt wheel. There should be no give if there's then it's the wheel bearings. Of course easiest is to check the disc bobbins as wes says above....do that first
