ello everyone? CJ here. 25 years old. Born and raised in the mojave I grew up in the ontario/I.E. area. I now reside in owasso, OK. The only thing to do for fun out here is going to the drags and poker runs. When I'm not riding it's more than likely because I'm screwing around with people's satellite dishes.
First time I ever tried to use a clutch I was 16 in a toyota pick up. Failed miserably. I moved out here when I turned 18 and learned to use a clutch with a quad. Got an 89' kawasaki 125 shortly after and rode the crap out of it. I sold it for more than I paid for it and went to a honda powerhouse dealer where I bought my 2011 cbr 250r in january. I laid it down the first week I had it doing figure eights on an incline like an idiot. Luckily the only thing i had to fix was a bent clutch handle. Tried bending it back at first and realized they had casted it and it snapped so I just ordered a new one. I've rolled 2600 miles on it so far. Her name's gianna.
She's just a standard commuter bike I ride to work everyday. once i get about 10000 miles out of it I plan to trade in for the 600. I only weigh a buck 20 so I don't think ill go bigger than that anytime soon. Now that it's beginning to get colder now I'm planning on some minor modifications. I just ordered a danmoto xg-1 exhaust which I'm going to take and have powdered coated black. after that i want to get black rims for it. though i havent decided if im just going to have the current rims sand blasted and anodized/powder coated or buy a whole new set. Probably whatever is cheaper I'll go with. We'll see how it goes. I'm sure most of the users on here know more about bikes than I so my posts will be few and far in between.

Welcome aboard CJ2 (as we already have a CJ)! :-)

Sounds like you're really giving your 250 everything you can throw at it. ;-)

Settle in & enjoy the forum.

Welcome CJ.

Sounds like you're taking the right approach to riding. Be safe and stay alert. Dont be stupid!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. There are lots of non-mechanical, new riders here that probably have the same questions you will have. There are many threads here that are opinion based as well. Feel free to chime in on discussions and learn something. Before you know it, you will have an answer someone is looking for...

We are a community, not just an answer forum!

Thanks for the welcome! I care too much about my mug not to gear up even if I may look like a goof doing it. It's not about how you look it's about how you feel. And in the end you meet the nicest people on a Honda! Looking forward to all the tips and help!
