New to F4i, love Hondas, maybe too much!

Hi all,
My name is Peter. I live in Minneapolis, MN. It is approximately 3 degrees F (-14 C) right now, but today I bought a 2001 CBR 600 F4i. It is red on the lowers and white pearl on top.

I now have 3 CBRs. One 2005 600rr for the track (no title), one 2005 600rr for the street (beautiful!), and now this F4i. I bought the bike because the 600rr is not meant to be on the street. That thing wants to rip around the racetrack! I looked at a few bikes before picking up this F4i, including F2s, F3s, FZRs, Nighthawks, and older Suzuki 750s.

The bike was tipped over on the right side, so the fairing is a little scratched, as is the Yoshimua exhaust can. The front rotors and very groovy, so I'll have to either take those to the hookah bar or replace them. She's got 30,000 miles on her, and I presume those are OEM rotors.

The first couple things I want to do are replace the rotors, shorten the ridiculously long exhaust, fix/replace the scratched plastic, install frame sliders, powder coat the rearsets and passenger pegs, and maybe repowdercoat the swingarm as it is scratched kind of badly on one side. I don't have a heated garage, so this stuff is going to have to wait until spring.

I'm at work right now, but of course I can't concentrate on programming at a time like this! I'll post up pics at some point.

Here is my build thread for the track bike. You may be able to see the pictures of the two 600rrs as I hosted them externally.

Ughh, MN. Gosh I'm torn about the black rr. The bike is really my first love, and I put a lot of time and money into that thing. I'll probably put it up for sale this summer at a not-so-attractive price. If someone falls in love with it and is okay buying it as a "completed custom project", then I'll pass it on.

Welcome

I have rotors for the f4i and I am in Saint Paul area. One is good and the other is warped. Also I am selling a front fairing as well if you need one.

F4i is the best sportbike for the street i have ever owned/ridden forgiving but fun. Good choice! I love it when people make well thought out choices for there bikes.

Congrats on the new ride.
