Default New F2 Owner!

Hey guys, picked up my 1991 F2 a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. First registered in 1996 and has 30kmiles on the clock (alot i know).

Bike runs a treat, apart from having a slight bit of rust on the swing arm and a few scratches its perfect! Even in this freezing temperature has started first time every time.

I think its pretty much standard apart from the nexus exhaust. Hopefully going to be making some mods as i read through here and see what other members have done with theirs.

Posting a link to a picture, but as a new member, i don't know if it will work.

Im from Lancashire, UK. Previously rode a GPZ600 but this bike runs circles round it.

Yeah, its not bad! The rust is just around the rear spindle and on the pillion peg. Not a major problem at the minute but i defiantly plan to change it. Hoping to get some opinions on different swing arm options. I wonder if any newer model swing arms would fit in?

Time to search the forum

very nice f2. it's amazing how something ove 20 years old can look that good and still run great! welcome to cbrf 30k is nothing if it's been maintained. there's a member here that's treked over 250K miles on his 600. ya... 250,000.... so no worries, your bike has almost nothing compared!

Yep - 30K for a 20+ yr old bike is really only 1500 miles a year. That's light use for most bikes.

G'Day Sam and welcome to the CBR Forum,

Love your bike and that colour scheme - I have it's slightly porkier big brother the CBR1000F in the same colours

Í wouldn't have thought that 30,000 miles was too much for the year.

Cheers, SB

Thanks for all the replies guys. I have a friend who offered me a manual CCT, but i don't think i need it at the minute. There is no rattle at all coming from the engine. To be honest though i haven't really looked behind the panels, there could be one on already.

I never really thought about the mileage. 30k is nothing, I've done nearly 500miles in the past two weeks!
