Yeah, That would probably be the better direction to go. I've dyed other things and it does well but being this is exposed to the sun more it may fade or wear off quickly.

Yeah, that's true.

You could also use the opportunity to get a cool corbin seat or something....

Aren't those really expensive? I did see one on here and it looked pretty cool.

Yeah, they really are. They do pop up on fleabay from time to time, though... sometimes priced ok.

Well, I got it all back together last night and was pumped to take it out for a ride. Filled it with gas, installed the battery and blah! Battery is bad already. Hooked the charger up to it and tried to get it to fire but it wouldn't. After about 10 min of trying the bike started but would only run at idle with full choke. eveytime I tried to give it gas the but died. If I brought the choke up, it died. Wonder if the petcock from the new tank it causing an issue or is it the bad battery. Once it started I would shut the charger off and could tell the alternator was not keeping up with the bad battery. Any suggestions?

It won't keep up charge at idle. None of them do. You need some revs to actually get a charge.
I'm not saying that it's impossible for you to have some charging issues, but the battery will just get drained if the rpms are below like 3k.
