Red face New to the CBR world

Thank you all for the warm welcome extended so far, I am new to the CBR world (from enduro and motocross) and currently doubting my sanity in the recent addition of a project bike to my garage. I stumbled across this neglected 1994 CBR 1000 F and decided that it is time to accomplish something 'just for me' so I loaded it up and brought it home. The first shock was how anyone with gray matter between their ears would just put a motorcycle in the shed without properly preping it - and the resulting odors and colors of vital fluids that are the life blood of any motorcycle.
As I progress through this and ask what I'm sure will seem like basic advice from your forum, please do not think that I'm your typical retired mom. This project will re-kindle a love of 2 wheels and bring the opportunity to make some new friends.
Advice is always accepted and learned from, after all - this like many other endeavours is an experience to be learned from, shared with others and enjoyed by all.

Hello qmeese, you being "a typical retired mom"? That notion flew right out the window with your first sentence, lol. Very impressive. Nice to have you with us, there's plenty of folks here to help you with your project; good luck.
