hi everyone. im new to the word of CBR's and motorcycles but i just bought a 89' cbr 600. its a good bike but i got some work a head of me. it was sitting for a while with some gas in it, so I'm going to have to clean the gas tank, carb, replace the fuel filter and do an oil change and replace the chain and sprocket before its good. I'm pretty sure ill be one the forums looking for ideas and help a lot. thanks you guys for adding me.

 

Congrats on getting your new to you bike. Sounds like you have some maintenance hurdles to overcome but you can do it. Ask questions for help if you need it.

with my 1000f and gas leaking after the winter standstill so I've got
some maintenance ahead of me.

 

thanks guys, i appreciate the welcome. i've been working on the bike over the memorial day weekend cleaned out the gas tank, the carb, new fuel filter, lubed the cables and then it started to rain. i still have to change the spark plugs, new turn signals and install the HID the previews owner gave me with the bike. it should be running by the end of this week. on a different topic who should i contact about not having access to certain things on the forum?
