Hi! the welcome threads said to introduce myself so here goes...
I am a new rider to bikes (always wanted one, never could afford one), but since I am now a master student with almost no debt and grad school funding, I bought an 02 cbr 600 f4i (used 17k+). finished the basic riders course recently, learning to ride now. Its been fun so far, should be more fun once I get good enough to unleash it a little more...
As far as me... I am a mechanical engineering MS student at Michigan Technological University (Houghton, Michigan, USA). Never rode a bike before, but like I said earlier, I've always wanted to. I sucked up the double U-turn portion of the MSF Basic Riders course, but did really well at the rest of it. A bunch of my friends recommended a CBR 600 as a great starting bike (and also a great medium to good skill level bike), so that's where I'm at. That's all I got.
