Hello everyone i bought this really nice 99 cbr900rr with 16,000 miles with original fairings and paint unfortunately i lowsides on a freeway on ramp did some pretty good damage to tail fairings and a good dent on gas tank i just wanted to ask is there another year gas tank that will fit this year bike besides the 99 since honda dont make them no more thank you guys for any help please i need to see my motorcycle fixed asap

 

Welcome to CBRF! Sorry to hear you had an off but I'm glad to hear you're alright. Not sure what years are interchangeable, but check eBay

 

As long as it's not ruptured, the tank will be fine with the dent until you get the correct one. As Conrice said, look on eBay. It doesn't have to be matching colors. While they can be a little rare, the tank decals can be found also. If you have the $$, find one without dents and paint it to match your bike. It takes some time and a little cash, but it's worth it if you want to keep your bike looking original.
