New CBR 929
Hi, let me start this off by saying this is not a "troll" job. I have read up and down the internet and come across some pretty silly stuff.
That being said, I have just come across a 2001 CBR929RR. I have felt it, and taken it out, and oh--my--god.. So spectacularly fast. Zero to stupid fast. I wonder if I may have a bit too much motorcycle though. I mean, I rode 600's and was more than comfortable with them. I got this and didn't think the learning curve could be so tremendous. Now I'm halfway pissed off and thinking I may just be in over my head. I'm not a kid..I am a grown man. Is this something to hammer out, or just give up and buy something smaller?

Hi! Thanks for the input. I do think I am just going to grin and bear it. I am just trying to tap into the bike's personality. It is a gorgeous machine, and just want to feel like I am controlling it, and less like a hostage situation lol. I have been reading and have a wakeful understanding of what it expects out of me, and I, in turn understand what I want out of it. Like not to "highside" or escape my throttle control. I do appreciate the advice. I am just curious, cause I look at the bike and it has a hue question mark over it. It seems so angry. Like a demon that is waiting for me to make a mistake. But I absolutely love motorcycles. I rode 600's for years, and am just captured.

Being that you recognize the power that the bike has & the responsibility that comes w/ that, I'd say that you have the right mindset & maturity to ride the bike & "grow" into it. Spend some time getting comfortable w/ it. Once you get that "feel" & recognize your comfort level w/ it, you'll be fine.
Glad you found us. Welcome aboard!
